I finally simplified my monthly spread after a train ride in Chicago last fall
I was sitting on the Amtrak between Union Station and Naperville, staring at my bullet journal with 8 different trackers and 3 color codes. This guy next to me pointed at my page and said ‘you must be tracking your stress levels too with all that work.’ It hit me that I had overcomplicated everything just to feel productive. Has anyone else realized their setup got way too complex and had to strip it back down to basics?

So when you stripped it back, what did you actually keep vs what did you realize you never even looked at?

Did you keep any of the trackers you originally had or did you start from scratch? I went through the same thing last year with my planner. I kept my habit tracker and my weekly to-do list because those actually helped me get things done. But I let go of the mood tracker and water intake log because I realized I only looked at them when I was filling them in, never to actually change my habits. Stripping it back to just three things felt freeing and made planning actually useful again.
