Found out my weekly spreads were costing me 45 minutes of planning time per week
I tracked it for a month and realized I was spending more time setting up the layout than actually using it. Has anyone else tried simplifying their weekly format and seen a real difference?

That was exactly my experience too. I spent close to an hour every Sunday drawing out my columns and decorating the headers before I even wrote down a single task. Now I just use a simple two page format with a running list for each day and a notes section at the bottom. The planning time dropped to maybe 10 minutes and I actually use it more because there is less pressure to make it look perfect. Funny how adding more structure to the page just made me avoid writing things down. Now I actually get through my week instead of just admiring the layout.

The trick is realizing the planner works for you, not the other way around. Once I let go of making it look like a Pinterest board, my whole week got smoother.
