Three hours just fighting over a rule sounds awful. I mean, game night is supposed to be fun, not a long talk. Maybe decide on a time limit before you play so it doesn't wreck the mood.

Wait, three whole hours? That's longer than most movies... I'd just give up and order pizza instead, game's ruined at that point.
