Used to bring every expansion to game night, now I bring just one box

For years I showed up to my Sunday group in Denver with a backpack stuffed with three expansions for every game. Then last month I lugged all of Scythe plus Rise of Fenris and nobody even wanted to pull it out. Now I grab one core game and maybe a small filler like Love Letter. Has anyone else realized they were overpacking for game nights and nobody cared?

I stopped bringing extra stuff after I hauled five boxes of Catan to a party where nobody wanted to play.

It's funny how we all learn that lesson the hard way @nathang67, same pattern plays out with people bringing board games to every gathering expecting a crowd that just wants to talk.
