Started using a dice tray at game night and it changed everything
I kept seeing people at my local board game cafe in Chicago knocking over pieces with their elbows. Spent months getting annoyed until I brought a simple felt dice tray from Amazon for like 8 bucks. Now we roll dice without scattering meeples everywhere and it saves like 5 minutes per game. Has anyone else found a cheap fix that makes a huge difference at the table?

Read somewhere that a guy uses a small photo frame with some felt glued inside. Basically the same thing but costs a dollar at a thrift store. Smart idea for keeping the dice contained without spending much.

Oh man, that photo frame trick is genius. I actually found a similar workaround at a dollar store - those little plastic "ticket holders" for raffles or whatever. They're like a buck each, have a clear top so you can see the numbers, and the felt floor keeps dice quiet. I glued two together to make a bigger tray, works perfect for games like Catan where you're rolling a ton. Someone in my group also uses a shallow baking pan with a towel in it, that's held up for two years now. What kind of games do you usually play where the dice end up everywhere?
