Shoutout to the guy at Gen Con who talked me into trying a solo board game
I always figured solo board games were just fancy ways to practice shuffling by yourself, so I skipped them for about 3 years. Then a vendor at Gen Con in Indianapolis handed me a demo copy of a solo game and said "give it 10 minutes, if you hate it I'll buy you a pretzel." I lost 2 hours in that chair, missed the panel I came for, and bought the game on the spot. Now my wife keeps asking why I'm "playing with myself" at the kitchen table, so who else has fallen down this solo game hole?
