My copy of Terraforming Mars just fell apart during game night

We were setting up the board last Friday when the main player board split right down the middle. I tried to tape it, but the pieces kept sliding under the cards. Has anyone else had a game break like this, and did you find a good fix?

Man, that's rough. I saw my buddy's copy of Scythe do something similar, where the big faction board just cracked along a fold line. He ended up getting a third party board from Etsy that was all one solid piece of wood. It was a bit pricey, but he said it was totally worth it to not have the cardboard worry. I mean, for Terraforming Mars, I know they sell those dual layer player boards that hold the cubes in place. Maybe that's the move if the main board is busted?

Totally worth it" feels like a stretch for a board game fix. It's just cardboard, not a car engine. I'd probably just tape it and keep playing.
