A buddy at game night told me my token organization was 'chaos' and he wasn't wrong

I used to just dump all the coins and cubes in a pile during Everdell games. He showed me he uses a dollar store tackle box with 12 compartments and now I set up in 3 minutes instead of 10. Anybody else have a simple storage hack that made a huge difference?

Honestly the dollar store tackle box is a classic but I went the other way. I started doing full chaos mode on purpose for games like Spirit Island where the board is already a mess. Now I just dump all the bits into a big ziplock bag and sort as we play. It forces everyone to slow down and actually look at the pieces instead of grabbing the wrong ones. Tbh it cut down on our setup time by like 5 minutes because nobody is waiting for me to open 12 compartments and find the right one. Plus it makes the game feel more organic and less like a spreadsheet.

Ha! A buddy of mine tried the chaos method once during a game of Castles of Burgundy and spent 15 minutes digging through a bag for a single silver coin while everyone just stared at him. He went back to his little plastic organizer the very next game night.
