A board game meetup in Austin told me the average hobbyist owns 91 games and I only have 34
I overheard a guy at the Austin meetup last Saturday say the average board game geek owns 91 games. I counted my shelf when I got home and I'm sitting at 34, so now I'm wondering if I'm doing this hobby wrong or if that number is just made up. Anyone else track their collection size or am I the only one who counted after hearing something like this?

Did the guy say where he got that 91 number from? Feels like it could be one of those stats that just gets passed around at meetups. Also curious if people count expansions in that total or just base games, cause that changes everything.
