The parking app made me choose between losing my spot or my sanity
It's like they designed it to make you feel dumb for every tap, and the whole time other people are just pulling in without a reservation.

Last month I sat in my car for ten minutes fighting with that stupid app while a guy on a motorcycle just rolled past me and parked for free. It hit me that everything now has this extra layer of pointless friction, like the checkout line that makes you scan a QR code or the coffee shop that only takes orders through their app. We traded real convenience for this fake sense of control that just adds stress to stuff that used to be simple. The worst part is the people who figure out the workaround get rewarded, and the rest of us just feel dumb for following the rules. Why does everything have to be a test now?

Damn, @wendysmith, I used to defend all this app stuff as "progress" but you just made me realize I've been spending my lunch breaks wrestling with parking apps while bikes slide by for free. You're right, it's not convenience, it's just homework for stuff that already worked.
