The grocery app I've used for a year just made the 'back' button vanish
Last week, their update removed the clear back arrow from the top left corner when you're deep in a product category, like 'canned beans'. Now I have to swipe from the edge of the screen, which fails half the time on my older phone. What's a simple UX fix they could have done instead of removing a basic navigation button?

Ugh, they could've just kept both options.

Right? Because having choices is just the worst thing ever. It's not like we're all adults who can pick what we want. Guess they think we'd get too confused.

Why can't companies just leave well enough alone? @emma_ramirez hit the nail on the head about treating us like kids who can't handle a simple choice. It's the same thing with my truck's dashboard, they took out the physical knobs and now I gotta poke at a screen just to change the heat.
