The grocery app checkout took 9 taps and I actually preferred it that way

Last Tuesday at a Kroger in Boise, I tried a new checkout flow that made me confirm my address on a separate page, then re-enter my zip code manually, and it took 9 taps total to place an order. Everyone online says fewer steps is always better, but that forced pause actually made me double-check my delivery window and catch a mistake I'd have missed with the one-tap version. Has anyone else ever had a clunky flow that accidentally improved their accuracy, or is this just me being weird?

wait are we really out here acting like 9 taps is some kind of zen meditation now? i mean yeah sure, maybe you caught a mistake that one time, but that's like saying you're glad your car broke down so you got to walk and enjoy the scenery. most of us just want our groceries delivered without feeling like we're filling out a tax form. and honestly if you need that many confirmation screens to double check a delivery window, maybe the real problem is you're ordering stuff at 2am half asleep. the one tap flow would've been fine for 99% of people, and you're just the weird 1% who likes getting slowed down for no reason.
