The DMV waiting room kiosk that made me want to scream

I walked into the DMV in Austin last Tuesday and they've got these new self-check-in kiosks. Took me 4 minutes to find the 'I'm here for a driving test' option buried under three submenus, and then it asked me to confirm my eye color. Who designed that flow? A toddler? Has anyone else dealt with a public kiosk that clearly never got tested on real people?

My buddy Phil tried one of those in San Antonio and it asked him to pick his hair color from a list that didn't have gray. Just stood there mashing the screen for five minutes before a clerk finally yelled at him to come to the counter.

And the gray hair thing is SO real. Like, who thought bald heads and gray hair were just not options people would need at the DMV? I swear these kiosks are designed by some 22 year old in a tech hub who has never actually waited in line for a license renewal. The whole 'confirm your eye color' step is nuts too, what is the point of that? It's just busy work to make the screen feel fancy. They could have just had a big button that says 'I'm here' and it would have been 100x better.
