That parking app made me flip, then it clicked

Last month I tried paying for a spot downtown and the app buried the payment button behind three menus. I stood there in the rain for 5 minutes cussing at my phone, tried to call the support number listed, and it just rang. Then I noticed the small print that said automatic renewal was on by default, no clear way to turn it off. I went back to coins and the meter, but honestly it taught me that hidden settings are worse than no settings at all. Has anyone else walked away from a app over buried options, and did they ever fix it?
