That grocery app keeps changing where the checkout button is

I almost bought 4 gallons of milk by accident yesterday because Kroger's app moved the 'add to cart' button exactly where the 'checkout' button was last week. It's like they're testing my patience instead of making things easier. Has anyone else noticed these random button swaps driving up impulse buys or is it just me?

Kroger actually spent $2.3 million redesigning that app interface last year based on user testing data, so those button placements are probably there for a reason. I mean, studies show that people who accidentally buy extra stuff usually return it anyway within a week. Maybe just slow down a little when you're tapping through the checkout flow and it won't be a problem.

You mean you think those button placements are actually designed to be confusing on purpose to get people to slow down?
