Picked the 3-tap menu over the obvious button, now my elderly neighbor can't pay bills

I chose a clean look over a visible pay button in our bank app, but after my neighbor in Tucson spent 20 minutes hunting for it, I realized the extra tap pushed her to a paper checkbook, so anyone else prioritizing design over function have a fix that keeps both?

The "extra tap" thing reminds me of my friend Dave, his grandma could never find the settings gear in her email app, so she just stopped using it. He ended up printing her a cheat sheet and taping it to her monitor, which sort of worked but looked awful.
