My new fridge hides the water filter behind a false panel, found it after 2 weeks of confusion

I got a Samsung fridge last month and couldn't figure out why the water tasted off. The manual said to replace the filter every 6 months, but I couldn't even find it. Turns out there's a little magnetic panel that looks exactly like the rest of the door, no seam or handle or anything. I only found it because my buddy who installs appliances came over and popped it off in 2 seconds. How are normal people supposed to know that's there? Has anyone else dealt with hidden access points that make basic maintenance a total scavenger hunt?
