My local library app forced me to choose between a hold and a checkout

Last week, I had a book on hold that finally came in, but the app wouldn't let me check it out without first canceling my hold on another title. The system said I'd reached my 'active hold limit' of 3, even though one was ready. I picked checking out the ready book, which lost my place in line for the other. It seems like a simple fix: ready holds shouldn't count against your limit. Has anyone else's library app done this?

The Libby app did that to me last month.

Yeah Libby is weird like that. Had a whole stack of holds vanish once and had to start over. Just poof gone like they never existed. Makes you wonder if their cloud syncing is just broken or what.
