Define what the real problem is though. Is it buying coffee sometimes or is it the shame that comes from a budget app calling it a waste? Feels like the problem changes depending on who you ask.

Finance apps can be too quick to judge our choices. @jackson.sandra sees it as hiding the issue, but what if the issue is the app's attitude? Calling a fun buy an emergency might be a smart hack to avoid unnecessary guilt. It helps people stick to budgeting without feeling punished. The point is to track spending, not to feel awful about small joys. Why should we let an app dictate how we feel about our money?
