Finally tried that app with no onboarding tutorial. Hated it at first.
I was dead set against using that new filing app at work. No instructions, no hand holding. Just a blank screen. After 3 days of fumbling in San Francisco I finally got it. Now I actually prefer it. The freedom to learn by doing is better than clicking through 50 popups. Anyone else find less guidance actually works better for complex tools?

Can't believe you stuck with a blank screen for three whole days.

Jake, three days on a blank screen honestly sounds like my kind of challenge. I read somewhere that staring at nothing can actually help your brain reset, like a weird low-tech kind of therapy. Probably more useful than scrolling for three days anyway.
