A user told me my 'save' button was invisible on their phone screen
I built a form for a local bakery's website last month. A customer emailed me directly and said, 'I can't find how to save my order on my iPhone.' I checked the mobile view and realized the green button blended completely into the background. I changed it to a solid blue and increased the size by 30%. Do you think color contrast is the biggest mobile form issue, or is button placement more important?

Actually, that's a great fix, but calling it an "invisible" button is a bit off. The user could see it, they just couldn't tell it was a button. The real problem was a lack of visual signifiers. Good contrast is part of that, but so is clear shape and enough size to tap. Placement matters too, but if a button doesn't look clickable, it doesn't matter where you put it.

Been there, that's so frustrating. Good contrast is key but making it look like a button is the real fix. You solved both problems with the color and size change.

Right. The worst part is when you KNOW the button is there because you built it, but your users just tap around it like it doesn't exist. Makes you feel like you're losing your mind. I've had that exact same thing happen where I thought the design was clean and minimal, but it just came off as confusing and broken. It's a real gut punch to watch people struggle with something you made and thought was fine. Glad you got it sorted out, it feels so much better once it actually works right.
