Just realized adding a second color to my logo was hurting it, and a stranger at a dog park is why I fixed it
I had a two color logo for my lawn care biz (green leaf, orange sun) and I thought it looked nice. Then last month this guy at the dog park in Boise saw my shirt and said flat out, "that sun looks like a sticker slapped on there." He wasn't trying to be mean, he just said it plain, and honestly he was right. So I made the whole thing one color, a dark green, and it reads way better on my truck, my shirts, and my business cards (which I only paid $35 for at the local print shop). The sun is still there but it's just cut out of the leaf shape now, no fill. It also costs me less to print, which I did not expect. Now I'm wondering if I should add one more small element or just leave it alone. Any of you ever go simpler and get a better result from it?
