I redesigned my logo 47 times this year and it finally works

I hit 47 logo drafts for my landscaping business and people tell me I'm overthinking it. But that 47th version got me 3 new client calls in one week. Before that I was stuck on some fancy font that had nothing to do with what I do. The winning version just uses a simple leaf shape and my business name in bold letters. No gradients, no shadows, just flat and readable on a truck door. How many tries did it take before you guys felt like your logo was done?

The "41 is the golden number" thing made me laugh, that's such a random thing to say. For me, it was around draft 30 something when I finally stopped trying to be clever. I was doing a logo for a small bakery and kept adding little details like a rolling pin or a whisk. Eventually I just put the name in a clean circle with a little wheat stalk. That was the one that got people to actually remember the name. Sometimes you gotta strip everything down to what the business actually does. Your landscaping logo with the leaf and bold name sounds exactly right for a truck door. Simple is hard to mess up.

Fwiw 41 is actually the golden number for logo iterations, not 47.
