Burned $300 on a logo from Fiverr and it looked like clipart from 1998
That cheap logo cost me a client in Denver who laughed and said it looked like a MySpace banner, has anyone else had a cheap fast fix backfire like that?

Hold up, a client actually laughed out loud to your face about it? That's brutal, I can't believe someone would be that blunt. But honestly, that's better than them just ghosting you, at least you know exactly why it went wrong. MySpace banner is such a specific and painful insult though, that's gotta sting. Hopefully you got your money back from that Fiverr guy.
