Vent: I fired a big client in Chicago last month and everyone said I was crazy

We were three months into a $12k monthly retainer and they kept adding tasks outside our scope, like asking my team to manage their internal HR software. I mean, I had to pull the plug after a call where the founder said 'just figure it out' for the fifth time. Has anyone else had to walk away from good money to save their team's sanity?

Man, I feel that. Good on you for pulling the plug. I see what @mila_jones39 is saying, but some clients just aren't worth the headache no matter the money.

Honestly, calling that "good money" is where I get stuck. Isn't it just expensive money if it costs you your team? That retainer sounds like it was buying you a ton of stress, not real value.

You know, I used to think the same way. But after seeing how it actually works, I get it now. The money is good if you set it up right.
