I had a client last year who wanted a status report every single afternoon, and I thought it was a waste of time. But after she pointed out how my team kept missing deadlines by a few days, I realized her nagging forced me to tighten our project tracking. Has anyone else had a demanding client who secretly improved their workflow?

Wait, did your boss actually take the blame for something? I had a buddy whose manager did that once. The boss straight up told the VP that a data report was late because he forgot to approve it, when really my friend just straight up dropped the ball. Saved his job for sure, but he never made that mistake again because he felt so bad about it. Kinda makes you want to work harder for someone like that, you know?
