Shoutout to the client who caught our broken intake form 11 days late
So about two weeks ago a client in Denver emailed to say she never got our onboarding questionnaire, which was weird because we sent it the day she signed. Turns out our form tool had silently stopped sending confirmation emails after a software update, and it sat there broken for 11 days without anyone noticing. We had 6 new clients stuck in limbo, all of them just quietly waiting for a form that was never coming. I spent a Saturday morning rebuilding the whole intake flow in Airtable with a manual backup step, and now every new client gets a personal check-in from me 24 hours after signing. What's your backup plan when your automation quietly dies, do you have someone actually watching that stuff or do you find out the hard way like I did?
