I fired 3 clients in one morning at a coffee shop in Austin
I was sitting at that place on South Congress going over invoices and realized 60% of my stress came from 20% of my revenue. Has anyone else cut clients and actually seen profits go up?

Cutting clients is a gamble, not a guaranteed win. You might ditch stable paying accounts and end up scrambling for new business that pays the same or less. The stress might be worth the steady paycheck if the alternative is chasing down unreliable leads.

Oh yeah, because nothing says "relaxing career move" like trading a guaranteed headache for a whole NEW set of headaches. It's like deciding to leave a mildly annoying party just to walk into a house fire. But hey, at least the fire doesn't send passive-aggressive emails about invoice terms. Honestly, if I'm gonna stress either way, I'll take the devil I know who at least pays me on time over the mystery box of "maybe this guy won't ghost me after the first project.
