Charged a flat $500 retainer for 6 months and a client in Denver asked why I didn't adjust it down.
Honestly, I had this client who kept asking for more strategy calls every week, but then at a quarterly review they hit me with that question about lowering the retainer. They said my value was 'diminishing' because their ad costs were dropping, even though I was scaling their campaigns into new markets. Has anyone else had clients try to renegotiate down when your results actually got better?

Did you always feel that way about it? I used to think that kind of talk was overblown, but after seeing how it plays out in real conversations, yeah, @webb.stella, I get where you're coming from now. Changed my mind completely.
