CEO told me "we don't do contracts" and I laughed for 5 minutes straight

Had a discovery call Tuesday with a founder in Portland who runs a $2M e-com brand. She said her last agency worked on a handshake for 8 months, then ghosted when the retainer ran out. I told her my minimum is 6 months locked with a 30 day out clause. She called me rigid. I called her naive. We ended the call friendly but I know she'll be back after the next ghost. Anyone else refuse to work without a written scope and get called inflexible?
