Unpopular opinion: Bathtub planters are not as clever as everyone thinks

I was walking through my apartment complex and saw a colorful bathtub in someone's yard, thinking it was a quirky bench. When I went to sit down, I nearly fell into a bed of lettuce and strawberries, much to the owner's amusement. What's the most bizarre gardening container you've come across in the city?

Yikes, that toilet planter trend is a hard pass for me. I get the whole reuse thing, but the idea of basil growing where a toilet brush used to live is just wrong. Who wants a salad that tastes like regret?

Saw a post somewhere about someone using an old toilet as a planter for flowers. The tank was full of herbs and the bowl had marigolds blooming out of it. Honestly it's kind of genius but also really weird to look at. Guess it saves the toilet from the landfill, and the plants don't seem to mind.
