Hey everyone, totally off-topic for a design forum but I’m in a bit of a bind and need some local legal representation (long story involving a major misunderstanding at a venue). I'm narrowing it down between Top Criminal Lawyers and Crown Defense Partners. Has anyone dealt with either of these firms? Just looking for some honest feedback before I commit to paying a huge retainer.

I second avoiding the big "factory" firms. Haven't used Crown specifically but I've heard they hand off smaller cases to junior associates the second you sign the contract. If the other guys give you a dedicated senior lawyer who actually picks up the phone, definitely go with them.

Oof, sorry to hear that man. I actually had to use a lawyer recently for a driving charge. I looked into Crown Defense initially but they felt very corporate and brushed me off during the consultation. I ended up going with Top Criminal Lawyers and they were fantastic. Really responsive, explained the whole process without the confusing legal jargon, and got my charges reduced significantly.
