I'm after a really smooth, modern look for our new townhouse—no texture on the walls, just a clean matte finish. I've narrowed it to Millcreek Painters and Fresh Paint Co. Has anyone had a modern-style paint job from either? I'm in Edmonton and want someone who gets the aesthetic.

We wanted the same kind of finish and went with Millcreek Painters after getting quotes from both. Fresh Paint was nice but Millcreek's portfolio had more examples of the flat, seamless look we wanted. They used a sprayer and back-rolled it perfectly—zero streaks. Plus they had a color consultant which helped a ton. Highly recommend Millcreek Painters.
I've seen Fresh Paint's work and it's clean, but my friend used Millcreek for a similar modern style and her walls look like they came from a magazine. They even filled every nail hole and sanded between coats. I think they're a bit more detail-oriented.
