Watching my cousin train on the excavator brought back memories

He's learning the controls with simulators first. We used to just hop in and figure it out as we went. Is that old school way gone for good?

You still figure it out as you go, just with less broken stuff now. That old way definitely got the job done though.

Yeah, the mess was half the fun though. You learned more from those disasters than any clean win. Now everything's so planned out it feels sterile sometimes. Still would take the new tools any day.
