Found a slick way to remove stubborn rust from a buddy's old revolver

We used a vinegar soak followed by fine steel wool. His piece looks brand new now, super stoked to share this trick.

Vinegar soaks always remind me of my grandpa's fishing reels!

Works way better than WD-40 on sticky bail springs.

Tell me you've never actually fixed a reel without telling me, @lee805. WD-40 is basically scented water that gums up worse in a month. A proper clean and light oil is the only real fix. That vinegar trick is a last resort for crusty garage sale finds, not a regular solution. Using it all the time will eat away at the metal. Some of us like our gear to last more than one season.
