My barista's tattoo chat sparked a new approach to line art

Honestly, I was getting coffee this morning and started chatting with my barista about her new sleeve tattoo. She showed me the details, and the way the lines flowed together was amazing. Tbh, it got me thinking I've been playing it too safe with straight lines in my logos. So for a client project, I tried adding more organic, curvy lines to the layout. The result looks way more lively and fluid, which the client loved. Ngl, I never expected design inspo from a casual talk, but it totally worked. Now I'm keeping an eye out for everyday art in conversations.

Yeah I saw this HUGE mural in a rest stop bathroom once, no joke. It was all these tangled-up bicycle parts painted with these wild, swooping lines. Totally changed how I see roadside signs now, like maybe the exit info could have some of that FLOW instead of just blocks of text. Makes the drive less boring to notice that stuff.

You saw that in a bathroom? How did they even fit it in there?
