There was this article I read about how parents pick up on tiny changes without even realizing it, like they're tracking your habits on autopilot. Apparently it's an unconscious thing from being around you all the time. Kind of creepy but also impressive in a way.

Man, parents have this weird sixth sense for that stuff. My mom always knew when I'd moved something in my room, like she had a mental map of every dust bunny. Once I tried hiding a bad test grade in my backpack and she asked about it before I even took my shoes off. They just absorb details without trying, like household detectives.
