Man, parents have this weird sixth sense for that stuff. My mom always knew when I'd moved something in my room, like she had a mental map of every dust bunny. Once I tried hiding a bad test grade in my backpack and she asked about it before I even took my shoes off. They just absorb details without trying, like household detectives.
