My close call with a cracked glass pane last week
Always check for flaws before you cut. I almost ruined a costly piece because I skipped this. Now I do it every time, and it's saved me a lot of trouble, lol.

Inspect every piece carefully before you start cutting. I once lost a beautiful sheet of stained glass because I rushed. Now I run my fingers along the edges and hold it up to the light. It takes an extra minute but saves so much heartache.

Honestly, @lee.mila, is it always that big a deal? I've cut plenty of glass without all that fuss and it turned out fine. Sure, if it's expensive stuff, take care. But for everyday projects, running your fingers over every edge seems like overkill. Sometimes you just need to get on with it and trust your eyes.
