Folks hear 'glassblower' and instantly think of drug paraphernalia...

It's disrespectful to the craft and the artists who dedicate their lives to it. I've had to correct more assumptions than I can count... and it's exhausting. Just once, I'd like someone to ask about the technique or the history.

Walk into any smoke shop in Denver and half the inventory is blown glass. When that's what people see every day, the association makes sense.

The Corning Museum of Glass in New York has over 50,000 pieces dating back 3,500 years. That long history gets lost when people only think of pipes. Artists spend years learning methods like glass blowing and lampworking. Seeing their detailed sculptures really shows the craft's true value.
