Steam's just water vapor, harmless really.

Tell you what, that first puff of steam always makes me jump a mile. Saw my own shadow and nearly dropped the flask last week. Guess my fight or flight is set to "screaming like a cartoon character" for stuff like that. Harmless or not, the brain just goes "BOILING DEATH" for a hot second. My reaction was way over the top for what was basically a sad little kettle.
