Fonts looking weird on different monitors? My fix is pairing one serif with one sans serif. Keeps things clean.

Try mixing something like Georgia for headings with Arial for body text. It just reads cleaner across screens, those fonts are on pretty much everything. Another safe bet is Helvetica and Garamond if you want a more classic look. The key is keeping one really simple to balance out the other.

Spot on, I've done exactly that Georgia/Arial combo for client sites before. It just works without overthinking it.
