Just wasted $300 on a bulk order of 'premium' floral foam that crumbled on first use

Joseph Black · 2026-04-09T10:10:04.334694+00:00

Ordered it from a new supplier advertising a 'stronger, longer-lasting' block. The first time I tried to set up a large centerpiece, the whole block just disintegrated in the water. Had to scrap the whole arrangement and start over with my old reliable brand, losing the flowers and the time. Has anyone else had a bad batch from a supplier recently? Looking for recommendations on who you trust for consistent quality.

That "stronger, longer-lasting" foam had me questioning if they were describing it or my patience. Guess we both found out the HARD way.

Honestly, check if your water's too hot.

Premium foam turning into a science fair volcano is a special kind of letdown. My trust in new suppliers is about as strong as that block was.
