Back in the day I thought those online flower subscription boxes were just a fad.

After seeing a local shop in Boise double their weekly orders with one, I had to try it and now it's 30% of my revenue. Anyone else running a subscription model and have tips on keeping the bouquets fresh feeling month after month?

Actually @casey_campbell, it's not always about keeping things new. Sometimes people just want the same reliable thing. My trick is having a few set "classic" bouquets that always stay, then one wildcard seasonal stem each month. That way it's familiar but has a little surprise.

It's like giving people the comfort food they ordered but with a cool new sauce on the side. @casey_campbell is right that this is everywhere now, but flowers are different from socks. The puzzle Lisa talks about is real, but that one surprise stem is a genius fix. It keeps things fresh without making regulars learn a whole new menu every month. That balance is everything.

How do you even keep things interesting for the regulars? That's my biggest worry with a subscription box, like people getting bored. I tried a seasonal rotation based on what's growing locally, which helped a lot. It keeps the cost down for me and feels more special for them. Still feels like a puzzle to solve every single month though lol.
