A customer in Dallas asked for a bouquet that smelled like her grandma's garden

She came in last Tuesday and said her grandma grew old roses and mint together. I put together a mix of 'Gertrude Jekyll' roses with sprigs of apple mint tucked in. When she smelled it, she got quiet and said, 'That's it, that's the exact smell.' I never thought about scent memory being that powerful in a simple order. Has anyone else had a request that made you think about flowers in a totally new way?

Sounds a bit over the top to me.

Had a guy ask for a funeral piece that smelled like his dad's cigar shop. Not the smoke, but the sweet tobacco and cedar shelves. Mixed dried tobacco leaves with cedar greens and a tiny bit of vanilla. He broke down crying at the pickup. Made me realize we're not just selling looks. We're building a bridge back to a person. Changes how you pick every stem.

That's a powerful story from @wesley_morgan10, really shows how scent can bring back a whole person.
