Update: I was cutting my LVP planks wrong for years and a homeowner pointed it out

I was installing some Lifeproof flooring in a kitchen remodel last month, doing my usual thing of scoring and snapping the planks. The homeowner, an older guy who used to do woodwork, was watching and finally said, 'Son, why are you fighting that? A fine-tooth handsaw will give you a cleaner edge every time.' I argued with him for a minute about speed, but he was so sure. To prove him wrong, I tried it on a scrap piece. The cut was perfect, no chipping on the printed layer, and it was actually faster for the tricky cuts around cabinets. I'd been so stuck on the 'score and snap' method from the box instructions that I never questioned it for tight spots. It made me wonder what other little habits I have that are just making the job harder. Has anyone else had a simple tool suggestion completely change how you handle a common material?

A utility knife for drywall changed everything.

Right? It's wild how the right tool for a simple job makes you feel like a genius. Happens with kitchen gadgets too.
