Tried a new glue for that old parquet job in the Oakwood house
Had a tricky herringbone pattern with some real thin pieces. Used a fast-set epoxy I got from a supply truck, not my usual stuff. The open time was way shorter than I thought, maybe 8 minutes. Had to work in tiny sections, like 2 square feet at a time. Came out rock solid though, zero squeaks. Anyone else run into this with different adhesives? How do you adjust your method?

Been there, that time crunch is brutal but worth it for a solid floor.

@garcia.miles I've seen that rush cause more problems than it solves.

Had the same thing happen with a rapid-set urethane last month. Just prepped everything in small zones and mixed tiny batches. Felt like a race but the bond is insane.
