Talked to a guy at the supply house about glue-down vinyl plank
I was picking up some underlayment in Tacoma last Tuesday and got chatting with this older installer, Frank. He said, 'Kid, you're still floating everything because it's fast, but on a big commercial job, that click-lock will talk back to you in a year.' He showed me a picture on his phone of a 5,000 square foot office floor he did with full spread adhesive, still dead flat after three winters. I always thought glue-down was just for sheet vinyl or a huge pain. Has anyone else switched back to glue for big LVP jobs?

Yeah, Frank's totally right about that.

Ask Frank what specific glue he used, because not all adhesives handle movement the same way. I've seen cheap glue fail worse than click-lock in a single summer heat wave. The glue brand and trowel notch size matter more than the method itself.
