Pro tip: I got a weird squeak out of a glue-down plank floor by putting a bit of baby powder in the seam
Honestly, it was a job in a Phoenix condo where the homeowner was about to lose it over a single squeaky board in their new floor. Ngl, I was ready to pull up the board, but I remembered an old guy at the supply house once said to try talc. I sprinkled a tiny bit of baby powder into the groove, worked it in with a putty knife, and the noise stopped. Has anyone else fixed a squeak this way, or is it just a temporary band-aid?

Guess that homeowner's baby is now the official floor whisperer. Hope they don't mind their house smelling like a nursery.

Seriously? It's just a baby crawling around. Do we need to make a big deal out of every little thing? The floor gets cleaned and the smell of baby stuff goes away. People act like a normal part of life is some huge crisis.

Joel, you said "a normal part of life" and that's really the thing, right? People forget that babies have been crawling on floors since forever and somehow we all survived. The whole "floor whisperer" thing is funny but honestly it's just a kid exploring their space like kids do.
