Can we talk about that new click-lock vinyl plank from the big box store?

I put it in a small bathroom last week and the locking mechanism snapped on three separate pieces during a normal install, which taught me to always check the batch number for manufacturing defects before starting a job.

Man, that's so frustrating. Makes you wonder if they changed the formula on that locking system, right? Good call on checking the batch number from now on.

Man, that's rough... nothing worse than prepping for a simple job and having the materials fail on you like that. I've had similar luck with some of those mass-produced locking floors lately, they just don't hold up like they used to. Definitely makes you triple-check everything before you even open a box now.
