Question about tracking expenses with apps versus a notebook
I wrote everything in a physical notebook for five years, but after a trip to Denver where my budget got messy, I switched to a free app. Do you find apps make you more accountable, or is the old-school method better for actually remembering where your money goes?

Apps win for me too, like @schmidt.kim said. Typing on my phone after I spend is just faster than finding my notebook. The app's charts show me my bad habits right away, which a list in a book never really did.

Totally feel that. I switched to an app after losing a notebook and it's way easier for me to actually check it every day. The automatic stuff helps me remember where it all went without having to dig for receipts.
